How to Use the Image Optimizer
Upload Your Images
Drag and drop up to 10 images (JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP) into the upload area. Each file can be up to 10MB in size.
View Metadata
Explore all EXIF, IPTC, XMP data including GPS coordinates, camera info, and AI generation prompts. Export to JSON, CSV, XML, or Excel.
Optimize & Convert
Choose output format (JPEG/PNG/WebP), adjust quality settings, resize images, apply rotation/flip, and remove unwanted metadata.
Add Watermarks & Download
Apply text or image watermarks with custom positioning and transparency. Download individual files or batch download as ZIP.
Common Use Cases
🔒 Privacy Protection for Social Media
Before sharing photos on social media, remove GPS coordinates, camera information, and timestamps that could reveal your location, equipment, and when/where the photo was taken. This protects your privacy and prevents stalking or unwanted tracking.
Solution: Enable "Remove all metadata" before uploading to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or other platforms.
🤖 AI Image Metadata Detection
Detect if an image was generated by AI tools like Midjourney, DALL-E, or Stable Diffusion. Our tool automatically identifies AI generation prompts, parameters, and software information hidden in the metadata.
Solution: Check the "AI Generation Data" section to see prompts and generation parameters.
⚡ Professional Photo Optimization for Web
Reduce image file sizes by 70-90% without visible quality loss. Convert high-resolution photos to web-optimized formats (WebP) with intelligent compression. Typical results: 5MB original → 800KB optimized, reducing page load times from 8 seconds to 1.2 seconds on 3G connections.
Solution: Convert to WebP format with 80-85% quality setting for optimal web performance.
©️ Copyright Protection with Watermarks
Protect your photography and artwork by adding professional watermarks. Choose from text watermarks (copyright notices, your name) or upload your logo. Position watermarks in any of 9 locations with customizable transparency.
Solution: Apply text watermark "© 2026 Your Name" at bottom-right corner with 70% opacity.
📱 Batch Processing for Content Creators
Process multiple images simultaneously with consistent settings. Perfect for photographers, designers, and social media managers who need to optimize dozens of images with the same settings (resize, watermark, format conversion).
Solution: Upload up to 10 images, configure settings once, click "Process All", and download as ZIP.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, absolutely! All image processing happens on our server, but your files are automatically deleted after 1 hour. We never store, analyze, or share your images. The processing is done in real-time, and you download the results immediately. For maximum privacy, you can also process images client-side using browser-based tools.
When you enable "Remove all metadata", we strip ALL embedded information from your images including: EXIF data (camera settings, date/time, software used), IPTC data (title, description, keywords, copyright), XMP data (creator info, rights management), GPS coordinates (location where photo was taken), Camera information (make, model, lens, serial number), AI generation data (prompts, parameters, software). The resulting image contains only the pixel data with no identifying information.
Typically, you can achieve 70-90% file size reduction with minimal to no visible quality loss. For web use, we recommend: 80-85% quality for JPEG photos (good balance between size and quality), 90% quality for WebP (superior compression algorithm), PNG with level 6 compression for graphics. You can often reduce a 5MB photo to 800KB-1MB while maintaining excellent visual quality. Use our preview feature to compare before/after results.
Yes! You can upload and process up to 10 images simultaneously. All images in your batch will use the same settings (format, quality, resize, watermark, metadata removal). After processing, you can download all optimized images as a single ZIP file, or download them individually. This is perfect for photographers and content creators who need to process multiple images with consistent settings.
Each format has different strengths:
- JPEG: Best for photographs, good compression, no transparency, widely supported. Use for photos on websites and social media.
- PNG: Lossless compression, supports transparency, larger file sizes. Best for graphics, logos, screenshots with text.
- WebP: Modern format, 20-30% smaller than JPEG with same quality, supports transparency. Best overall choice for web, but check browser compatibility.
Our tool automatically scans image metadata for AI generation markers. Many AI image generators (Midjourney, DALL-E, Stable Diffusion) embed information in the EXIF data including: Software name (e.g., "Midjourney v6"), Generation prompts used to create the image, Parameters and settings, Model version used. Check the "AI Generation Data" section in the Metadata Viewer tab to see if your image contains these markers. Note: Not all AI-generated images have metadata (it can be removed), so absence of markers doesn't guarantee an image is not AI-generated.
